How should JPH® concentrated juices be stored?

We do not add any chemical or other preservatives to our concentrated juices. We (and our customers) prefer to keep the juices as natural as possible. Therefore, ALL JPH® concentrated juices should be stored refrigerated  or frozen (open and unopened) to keep them in optimum condition (as per the storage instructions on the product). They are okay to be transported (e.g. via courier) (Maximum of 3 days) unrefrigerated, but please pop them in the fridge when they arrive, should you choose to freeze the concentrates, they won’t freeze solid, just go very thick. This will preserve their properties for even longer.

What is the process used in making JPH® concentrates?

Although processing methods may vary slightly between each processing plant where our concentrates are manufactured, typically the processing begins with the washing and sorting of the produce to ensure the raw produce is cleaned and graded for use. The fruit or vegetable is then placed in an extractor to separate out the juice by applying physical pressure. The juice is then spun in a centrifuge at a high speed to filter out fragments of pulp. This is achieved as the refined juice is pushed out of the front of the machine through the inner basket whilst the larger pulp fragments stays inside the machine. We do not use any ultrafiltration and some batches of our concentrates may contain some natural sediment which can collect at the bottom of the bottles.
The juice then passes through an evaporator, which typically concentrates the product in a series of smaller steps. This helps minimise the heat that must be applied to the juice, protecting the colour and flavour. Evaporators operate at low pressure, allowing the water component to be evaporated more readily at lower temperatures, again to minimise the effects of the processing on the quality of the juice. Are there any side-effects with taking JPH® products?JPH® products are made using 100% European Based cherries. Why do I Notice sediment in some batches of Concentrates?

JPH® fruits and vegetables are harvested at their peak, normally during July/August and during processing some batches may have sediment which settles in the bottle. Variances in taste and color may also occur. Since JPH® products have no artificial colours or sweeteners, these variances may be noticeable in the product and it is not abnormal for the product color to darken with time. This is a natural process and in no way affects the efficacy of the product.
